Dye Sublimation

This process turns special inks under pressure and high heat into a gas that dyes polyester fabric permanently with images, shapes and text output from a computer onto a paper carrier. Sublimated apparel is very permanent, since the fabric is dyed, not printed, and the colour becomes part of the fabric. Of course, any dyed fabric can be damaged by bleach or other chemicals.

Only polyester products can be used with this dye-transfer method, as well as specially-coated products, like drinkware, mouse pads, awards and signage.
